The Leukaemia Societys hugely successful annual all singing talent competition is offering a budding Artist\Designer the opportunity to design the Logo for BBC IDOL (British Born Cypriot Idol).

The winning design will be displayed on all press and publicity leaflets, posters, banners, t-shirts and any other merchandise.... And will be helping to support this vital charity.

British Born Cypriot All Singing Talent Show

2nd May 2010 at the Millfield Theatre, London.

If you are over 16, of Cypriot Origin and can sing this proffessional Talent Show is for you.
Hosted by the award winning legendary musical partnership 'MARTHA & EVE' and judged by other professionals. Past judges include Yusuf Islams and Boy Georges producer and guitarist John Themis, National Musical Theatre and TV Star Peter Polycarpou, BBC Londons Radio DJ Ritu, TV presenter Tonia Buxton, LGR presenter Vassilis Panayi and other surprise celebrities.

Win a day in one of Londons  TOP professional recording studios.
Previous winners have recorded original songs and covers with the guidance and expertise of industry producers and engineers.

The aims of this event are to encourage new talent from the community and to help create awareness of the shortage of Bone Marrow Donors from the Mediterranean Community.

Promoting awareness of the biggest killer of Children, Teenagers and Young Adults-

Most people would say its ONLY Leukaemia, thats curable. Speak to a family who has lost a Child, Teenager or Young Adult to Leukaemia and they will tell you otherwise. Leukaemia is an aggressive Cancer requiring aggressive treatment and the biggest killer of Children, Teenagers & Young Adults in the UK.

Many patients reach a stage when their only hope of treatment is a bone marrow transplant. It is every parent's nightmare. Your child needs a bone marrow transplant, but because of your ethnic background there are no suitable donors available.

The Leukaemia Society (UK) co-ordinates and arranges awareness drives to help increase the representation and ethnic diversity on the Bone marrow Register.

We are currently working with the Cypriot community, this group is greatly underrepresented on the register and people are dying as a result.

Please help our efforts by encouraging your students, friends or colleagues to help promote/participate in the above awareness generating events.
