The Leukaemia Society is fortunate to have TV Presenter Tonia Buxton as a Friend of the charity. Tonia supports  the charity in many ways, helping to raise our profile, introduce us to new supporters and generally increase awareness and generate funds for the Charity.

Tonia Buxton is the  presenter of RTS nominated ‘My Greek Kitchen’, Discovery Travel & Livings most successful show to date. Tonia is fast become the face of Greek food in Britain. She has a passion for food born from an early apprenticeship in her mothers Kitchen.

Join passionate cook Tonia Buxton as she travels around some of the most stunning locations in the Greek Mediterranean, on a culinary and cultural tour of the region from the mainland to the islands - including the bustling streets and cosmopolitan vibe of Athens, the mountainous beauty of Kephalonia and the chic nightlife of Mykenos.

Across 15 episodes Tonia cooks up a feast of regional dishes using fresh vegetables, meats, fish, cheeses, fruit and herbs sourced from the farms and markets of the areas she visits. Delicious dishes include a traditional lamb moussaka, dolmades, stuffed vine leaves and hummus, as well as sweet treats like halvas and baklava.

In series 2 Tonia takes you a personal journey to Cyprus the island of her roots, showing the wonderful food, culture and people of the island.

 As a classical historian Tonia likes to talk about the ancient origins of food and wine.
