By coincidence Year 11 student Feisal Kabangu had planed a serious of fundraising events within the school and Theo’s suggestion was added to the list. On the 7th November Fiesal helped to organise a non uniform day.
All students in Years 7-11 paid £1 to wear their own clothes on a black and white theme. All the money raised was added to Fiesal’s growing fund for charity. £1,000 was raised and split in two, £500 went Theo’s chosen Charity, The Leukaemia Society (UK), and the other half to a charity of Fiesal’s Choice. Huge congratulations to Theo and Fiesal and huge thanks to all the staff and students that make the event such a success.
Schools….
The Leukaemia Society UK has a great network of supporting schools and we are always keen to work with new ones. The concept of children helping those less privileged than themselves is not only incredibly rewarding, but educational and fun too. Supporting The Leukaemia Society gives the children in your school the chance to learn about important social issues, and the money raised will go directly towards children with Leukaemia and other related diseases. For more information about how your school can support The Leukaemia Society or to arrange for someone to speak at your school please contact us.
Universities…
If you have got a Rag office which supports charities or you could persuade students to take part in a fundraising event we would love to hear from you.
