The Leukaemia Society 5K Run/Walk was a great success on Sunday 20th September.
A large crowd turned out at Grovelands Park for the event which was led by the charities patron Eve Polycarpou.
A spokesperson for the charity said “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the 1st Leukaemia Society 5K Family Walk & Fun Run and raised money for the charity.
The funds raised from the event will not only help us continue our vital work benefiting people with leukaemia and other related diseases, but will also increase awareness of this issue in the public forum.
We would like to thank our Patron Eve Polycarpou who led the Walk/run, volunteers, our incredible participants without whom we couldn’t continue and, of course the media that helped promote the event."
